Email is included with Pro and Max, and can be added to Starter, Basic and Standard with the Email add-on.
Choosing your address
Right after you set your password, you choose your PurePost address on Your address: the part before the @ (we suggest a few based on your name). It’s how you sign in from then on (your own email works too). When your plan includes email, your mailbox is created at that address right away; if you add Email later, it’s created then. Choose carefully: the address cannot be changed later. Role addresses such as admin, support or postmaster are reserved.
Reading mail in your PurePost cloud
Open Mail in your PurePost cloud. Your new address is already set up there, so there is nothing to enter. If you have not signed in to your cloud yet, it appears after your first sign-in (allow a few minutes).
Phone and desktop mail apps
When you create your address, Your address shows a password for phones and mail apps once. Save it in your password vault straight away; it is not your PurePost sign-in password, and we don’t send it by email.
- iPhone, Android, Outlook (Exchange / ActiveSync): your email address, the server
sync.purepost.netand that password. Mail, your PurePost calendar and your contacts all sync. Many apps find the server automatically. - Other mail apps (IMAP and SMTP): the server names are listed on Your address. Use your full email address as the user name.
Lost the password, or setting up a new phone? On Your address choose Make a new password. Devices using the old one stop syncing until you enter the new one; the Mail app in your PurePost cloud is updated for you.
If email is removed from your plan
If you downgrade to a plan without email, the add-on is removed, or a payment is overdue, your mailbox is paused: nothing is deleted, and it comes back as soon as your plan includes email again. If your subscription ends, your mailbox is deleted with the rest of your data when the retention period ends; contact us before then if you need help exporting.
